Alois Fischbach was born in 1926 in Sollenau, Austria, and lived in the House of Artists in Gugging from 1981 until his death in 1987. Overemphasizing his representations resulted in deformations such as twists, distortions or disproportions. He grotesquely enlarged objects that had a special emotional value or sexual symbolic meaning for him. His works can be found in the Collection de l’Art Brut, Switzerland, the Arnulf Rainer collection, Austria, and in the Gerhard and Karin Dammann Collection, Switzerland.
