Günther Schützenhöfer was born in 1965 in Mödling, Austria, and has been living in the House of Artists in Gugging since 1999. Schützenhöfer mainly works on everyday objects, which he stylises, thus giving them an utterly abstract appearance. He primarily uses pencil for his abstract drawings – occasionally he sets accents with strong coloured pencils. His works can be found in the Museum of Everything, England, the Peter Infeld Private Foundation, Austria, and in the Arnulf Rainer Collection, Austria.
