This Advent, galerie gugging invites you to ARTvent, a festive day of art, music and good company in the winter Vienna Woods. Spend time with MASTERPIECES brut, our exhibition of rare Art Brut works seldom seen together. Join us for a behind-the-scenes look at the gallery at 13:00 or a guided tour at 16:00, and find a one-of-a-kind Christmas gift while you’re here.

Next door, museum gugging has a full programme of its own, with an exhibition opening, a curator-led tour, live performances and creative workshops for children and adults. Café Bistro am Campus will serve food and drinks around the fire pit and Christmas tree all day.

All events are free. Bring friends, take your time, and celebrate the season with us.

Performance: I Could Have Been You
Vienna-based artist Reinhold Zisser developed this performance between 2015 and 2019. It creates two images that look identical at first glance, but every detail turns out to be unique. The piece also explores the roles of artist and curator.

The following Sunday, Marko Djurdjevic opens his Klosterneuburg studio to the public. The studio is usually closed to visitors, so this is a rare chance to see his works in progress, finished pieces and archived works that have never been exhibited, and to get a sense of how he works.

We’ll have warm punch and Christmas cookies waiting for you.
