From 1981 until his death in 2019, Franz Kernbeis lived at the House of Artists in Gugging. His art primarily reflects everyday life, depicting objects from his environment and past, such as tractors, plants, buildings, bicycles, airplanes, and animals, with remarkable clarity and emotion.
